Christmas Dresses

Merry Christmas!

Bow Head Says Hello

December

Today we played with cornmeal. I don't know what I was thinking. It didn't take long for this:

To turn into this:

Oakley has also been learning to use her spoon. (just kidding)

Sadly, the next two pictures are taken during some of Oakley's happiest moments during the day...watching the Wiggles (yes, we are trying to branch out. Barney was getting to all of us)

Pigtails

I'm so glad Oakley has hair...

Christmas Tree

Cam and I were really excited to get a tree this year. The past two years we were moving during the holidays so a Christmas tree was out of the question. This year not only did we have a place to put it but we also have a one year old to share the excitement with!

When we got to the tree farm we told Oakley to choose a tree...This was her choice:

Here is our tree!

Cam's 1st tree cutting experience...

Oakley eating her 1st candy cane...

I'm not sure why, but I imagined a really magical night of decorating the tree as a family with Christmas music playing in the background. I was wrong, Christmas trees and one year olds do not mix well. Here are a few pictures of Oakley removing ornaments and branches...

After fishing a chomped red ball from her mouth, we decided to only decorate the top half of the tree.

Happy Holidays!

She doesn't look like a baby anymore. I just love her angry eyes!

One!

Happy Birthday!

Oakley is One!!! Her party was a success and I couldn't have done it without the help of all my family! We somehow managed to cram and feed 40+ people in our 2 bedroom apartment but at the end of the day, I would say it was a success! Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures taken...

Being born on Halloween...We had to have a costume party! Oakley was a black cat. Cam was a creepy old man and I was his submissive, half-off mail order bride.

Three blind mice...

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...

My mom made her an adorable pumpkin cake. She had more fun destroying it than she did eating it!

Mmmm....

Presents!!

My sister-in-law and I decorated the cupcakes...I thought they turned out so cute!
